P&D TAMPA | Veterans Memorial Park – Phase 3 Memorials
The Hillsborough County Veterans Park and Museum, located on US 301 at the Tampa Bypass Canal in Hillsborough County, was established to honor the residents of Hillsborough County who served, and especially those who lost their lives in war. The World War II, Afghanistan War, Seminole War, Spanish American War, and Civil War veterans’ memorials were recently completed in 2017, resulting in a total of 16 separate memorials located throughout the park. This current phase of memorial development is expected to bring multiple privately funded public dedication ceremonies organized by numerous veteran, community, and family groups that will further public awareness of the park and aid in establishing this park and museum as a destination in the region. Supporting this goal, Genesis contributed civil engineering and landscape architecture services at a reduced cost.

Genesis CEI is the prime consultant on the US 98 (SR 30) project from Emerald Bay Drive to Tang-O-Mar Drive in Walton County, with a small section in Okaloosa County. This is a $42-million project to reconstruct 3.37 miles of US 98. The project started in November of 2016 and is expected to be completed in early 2020. The improvements under this contract consist of the widening and reconstruction of US 98 from the existing 4-lane rural roadway to a 6-lane urban roadway, which includes a raised median section with numerous directional openings for control of driveway access, 4-foot bike lanes, and 8-foot sidewalks on each side of the roadway. Included within the project limits are six signalized intersections that require complete reconstruction of all signalization equipment with new mast arms. All drainage for the project is through a new closed drainage system that collects runoff and discharges it into four new retention ponds.
