Located in southern Leon County, the project is the initial phase of a state and local effort to reduce the number of septic systems within the Wakulla Springs Basin. Through signage in the neighborhood and direct mailing to residents, Genesis has worked diligently with the County to entice residents to accept this service. To date, approximately 80% of properties have agreed to service. In addition to the central sewer system, Genesis is designing service plans for each individual property and meeting with owners. Septic tanks will be properly abandoned and City water service will be provided to those properties currently on wells.
