P&D TAMPA | North Tampa Christian Academy
Located on a 43-acre site, the North Tampa Christian Academy will be the first Adventist school in Florida to incorporate a 21st Century Community Learning Center philosophy into both the campus design and curriculum. Genesis, working with Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Inc., created a campus plan that utilizes an existing lake and cypress wetland as focal points for integrating the campus into the local bionetwork. The design includes a stormwater pond that serves as a rookery for native birds and includes a platform for outdoor education, including provisions for water quality sampling. Floodplain impacts are mitigated via the construction of a wetland that is integrated into the stormwater management system and will serve as a buffer from neighboring parcels. The design also features an integrated pick-up/drop-off drive that meanders through campus providing overflow grass parking opportunities for special events.

CEI NORTHWEST FLORIDA | Project Update - SR 30 (US 98) Pensacola Bay Bridge
Cold temperatures in North Florida have not stalled progress on this $400 million design-build project. The first of the 415 trophy pieces—massive structures formed of concrete that include footers, columns, and caps—were set in October 2017. The first “Florida I-Beam” of over 1,000 beams was set in the beginning of January 2018. Both of these massive concrete structures are fabricated at the local concrete yard and transported to the bridge by barges. The project is currently on schedule for a summer 2020 completion.

CEI SOUTHWEST FLORIDA | Project Update - I-75 Segment 4 in Hernando County

Genesis CEI is teaming with WSP for this initially 434-day, $17.8 million project in Hillsborough County. The project relocates and combines the two northbound on-ramps to improve traffic flow at the interchange by eliminating the short merge distances. The project will also add a fourth lane to the mainline within the project limits to provide ample distance for traffic to enter the three-lane section of I-75. Work on the project includes concrete and asphalt pavement, construction of four new bridges, eight MSE walls, an extensive amount of subsoil excavation, signing, pavement markings, and roadway lighting. The expected completion for this project is Spring 2018.
